Last year over 258,000 people were injured as a result of road traffic accidents; with over 32,000 individuals having been killed or seriously injured. Of these over 13,000 were car users, 7,000 pedestrians, 6,000 motorcyclists and 2,000 were cyclists. These figures are down on the previous year but still alarmingly high. |
