It is perfectly natural to be unsure about making a claim. You may be concerned about the stress, costs, or the time a claim may take.
Here at Veitch Penny Personal Injury we have been presenting personal injury claims for over 30 years. We are not here to pressure you into making a claim, we simply hope to offer you the objective help and advice you need to make a decision.
It is only fair that you are compensated for your injuries and any expenses you have incurred or are likely to incur as a result of your accident.

Many of our clients are concerned about the morality of making a claim, particularly where the accident was not entirely the fault of the other person or where the person at fault was a family member or friend. In the case of traffic accidents all parties are legally required to hold insurance, and it is typically the insurers from whom any compensation will be claimed. The fact remains that if you have been injured you may be unable to work for a period of time or may experience psychological symptoms, for instance being unable to get back into your car. None of which are your fault, but will certainly have some impact both physically, emotionally and financially. |

If you are unfortunate enough to have been involved in a collision, here are a few points you should consider...
- Get names and addresses of the parties involved, witness/colleagues who saw or knew what happened.
- Make sure you seek treatment for your injuries.
- If bruised, scarred or injured try to get some clear photos of the injuries.
- If incurring expense, keep all records/receipts otherwise we may not secure repayment. For information on claimable expenses please click here.
- If involved in a road traffic accident (RTA) notify the police, get insurance details from the other parties, and pass any correspondence received from the other party to your insurers or representative.
- Do not accept a compensation settlement for your injuries until you have been able to discuss your situation properly with your solicitor.
