Our service is not limited to drivers and riders. Vehicle users owe a duty of care to pedestrians as well (and their injuries are often the most serious). Our role is to identify every consequence for you, your family and friends, and to get you the treatment you need when you need it. Tell us your problems and we will suggest the best way forward.

Drivers of vehicles owe a duty to pedestrians.  Their injuries can often be quite serious.  Each case is unique and we appreciate that this event can be traumatic not only for yourself but also your family.  We will listen to your problems and concerns enabling us then to suggest the course of action suitable for your case.

The first step will be to identify the negligent vehicle and driver and showing he was to blame. We appreciate that you may only have limited information about the responsible party. We would always advise that you report the matter to the Police.

If you were the unfortunate victim of a hit and run or the responsible driver was uninsured then the Motor Insurers Bureau will be able to assist under the Untraced Drivers Scheme or Uninsured Driver’s Scheme. (Anthony – can you make a link?)

We can assist you in arranging any assessments to identify the need for treatment and rehabilitation liaising with treatment providers and possibilities of funding from the responsible party and their insurers.

When you are in a position to make an informed decision about your recovery then we will enter into negotiations to settle your claim with the insurers for the negligent driver.  If those negotiations fail then we normally issue proceedings to protect your position and to resolve your claim.
